In research – Part of some successful researches such as improved birth & death registration levels through implementation of active surveillance for vital events, increase in soap use rates for hand washing through a BCC intervention in rural households. Successfully completed five research projects from 2007-12. Dissertation on microfinance as a tool for women's empowerment and improvements in maternal and child health
Preparation of training material and manuals - Developed training modules for physician coders for international use in PURE study using LMS; and for SBA training for staff nurses especially in infection control, documentation, auditing
Conducted trainings- Trained staff nurses of primary health centres in skilled birth attendance (SBA) and Basic Emergency Obstetric Care (BEmOC); Organized workshops/CMEs
In Assessments - Designing program strategy and tools for assessment of MNCH services in rural districts of Karnataka; Analysis of assessments of service provision and quality assessments in rural districts of Karnataka; Investigation of epidemics of diarrhoea, anthrax, flaccid paralysis
Evaluation and program review - Effectively evaluated the mid day meal program
Writing grants and proposals- Obtained research grants from IAEA, ICMR and ILSI
Publications – Submitted four project completion reports and three journal publications (more in preparation)
Program implementation – Coordinated Pulse Polio immunization and Mass Drug Distribution for Filaria; provided preventive and supportive treatment for people affected by Tsunami, flash floods

- He had got admission for PhD in NIMHANS in Bangalore.
